56 days until....

.... Christmas :)
Christmas Cookies

Yes I know I know, it's one month and some more weeks....but the Christmas spirit is sitting in the back of my mind and it's not going anywhere anymore. It arrived like a week ago and ever since I have been dreaming about gingerbread guys dancing on the oven tray and every morning... before I open the shutters... I wish it had snowed during the night... Oh, when will it snow??

C is telling me that I am worst than a commercial center catalog, which arrives in your letterbox somewhere in the middle of august sunshine.

Well, me being worst than a commercial center is not really true, because at least in here, they are already unpacking the reindeer's and small plastic Santa Clauses and even the city has hung up most of the Christmas lights. They are now competing with the Halloween pumpkins and autumn flower arrangements for everybody's attention. Have I mentioned before, that this city we live in, has an impressive budget for city decorations. This is where all our taxes are going...

Strasbourg's city Christmas tree arrived this week. They have a lot of money also. The tree is 30 meters high. It takes 3 weeks to decorate it and the decorating ends with the opening of the Christmas market, in the beginning of December.

I don't know if it was because of the blood sausage I had for lunch today, or the beautiful bordeaux color linens that were passing my sight all day today, but I managed to create (hopefully only in my head) all the Christmas decorations for our home. It will be another French Christmas this year, cause we are both working in the morning of 24th.

But until then, I am very much enjoying my little holiday anticipation.
sweet dreams
